You have to let it cool completely ...Ah, the toast! You have to let it cool completely before packing it, preferably on a wire rack. This usually does the trick. If you like to pack sandwiches it's also nice to toast the bread a bit before you make them so they don't get soggy (I almost never pack sandwiches, of course). But on the other hand, I don't mind it if it gets mildly soggy with buttery, salty, garlicky goodness, all the same.
