Monbento Square #55 (Single Tier)
It's dark in the mornings this time of year. We're talking pitch black until 7:00. It's the darkest mornings we will have all year, thanks to Daylight Saving Time. So not all of this showed up in the photo, but here we go: I have here a peanut butter, banana, and homemade plum chia jam sandwich on multigrain-and-seed bread, cucumber slices, halved cherry tomatoes, carrot sticks, and (above) a cup of ranch dip made from non-dairy Greek yogurt, some fruit snacks (invisible for some reason), a hard toffee candy, and, just in case it isn't enough food, a chocolate oat bar. To go along with this, I packed a Yeti insulated bottle of hot Sanka with vanilla and soy milk. I ended up not needing the oat bar, so I'll have that another day. This may be a classic lunch, but it has my own spin on it. It may also be primarily the sort of lunch children would eat, but why should they get all the fun?
