Insulated Jar & Sides #6

My hiatus was unplanned, but not to worry--you'll have lunches on the usual schedule this week.

Jalapeno chicken sausage sauteed with peppers and mushrooms, cheese grits, and a fruit salad of sorts (kiwi, pomegranate arils, and orange chunks).

This was my first time making grits. They cover much of the same ground that polenta does without that whole half-hour of stirring business. The insulated jar didn't really keep them hot, but it didn't matter--they were pretty great anyway.
