Dinner Plate #78

Okay, you see it, so what you should get here is more extensive commentary: It's a sandwich and chips.

But it's a great sandwich! I picked up some sourdough bread and spread that with some vegan mayo. I then topped that with sliced tomato, sliced red onion, green leaf lettuce, sliced green olives, some Field Roast smoked tomato deli slices, and a slice of non-dairy Provolone.

For those playing along at home, this is what I made for myself for lunch after I finally went to the grocery store. If you're going to go to the grocery store, you've got to make it worth your while--and also I can never quite bear to cook on the same day as a shopping trip. I don't know what that is, but maybe it's that I feel like I've already spent far too much time on food on a day I have done the shopping. So a fancy sandwich it is!

Here's to that!

The chips are plain kettle cooked potato chips, which really are my favorite these days.

  1. Field Roast is my fav faux meat brand. I don't eat their products often but when I do, I love their "Stadium Dogs" hot dogs (so delish!), and their garlic and fennel sausages (yum!).

    1. There aren't many of their products available near me, but I love them, too.
