Monbento Original #15 (Single Tier)

Peanut sauce, tofu cooked in a soy sauce marinade, some broccoli stems and carrots sauteed together, and rice.

As I began to have the energy for cooking but not for making shopping lists or plans, I started scrounging in my kitchen. I could salvage the broccoli stems, if not the broccoli florets, so I constructed this meal around that with what other things I had. And honestly, it turned out pretty well! It's hard to mess up the basic rice or noodles with tofu and veggies with peanut sauce, really.

  1. Oooh, yum; this looks like such a delicious meal! That's great that you were able to use the broccoli stems!

    1. I don't like to have stems and florets together for whatever reason, but I do really like the stems on their own--and they last longer!

  2. Tofu and peanut sauce is pretty much one of my favourite combos ever, you just cannot go wrong!
I love using broccoli stalks for stuff as well.
