Low Bowl #39
Ramen? Yes. I am exhausted. But this is not my typical ramen! I had some leftover coconut milk, so I made a curry broth. In that, I had bok choy, mushrooms, garlic, ginger, and smoked tofu alongside the noodles. I topped all that off with sesame seeds.
It still needed something, so I added a sprinkling of brown sugar and a spoonful of chili garlic sauce, and somehow, that was perfect.
More interesting food is coming, I imagine, if I can recover from this. We'll see!

hang in there. just hold on and breathe if that is all you can do at the present. sending grounding vibes.
ReplyDeleteWell, fortunately I can do a little more than that--but thanks! I know it happens sometimes, and we all just have to figure out how to best take care of ourselves when it does.
DeleteChili-garlic sauce (sambal oelek) changes/elevates every dish to which it is added, imho. I love it and use it often. And when combined with tamari, ginger, toasted sesame oil, and a bit of sweetener (maple syrup, brown sugar, or my fav, coconut sugar) it brings flavor to a dish in a BIG way.
ReplyDeleteYes, it definitely does!
