Sequestration Meal #331
I had originally wanted to make soy curls in a spicy peanut sauce, but my geographic tongue was giving me trouble, so I veered away from spicy. Instead, I made some almond butter sauce because that seemed like a good compromise with myself. I had my almond butter sauced soy curls with rice seasoned with shiso furikake and some quick-pickled cucumbers with sesame seeds.
It was nice to have this sauce with soy curls. It would be good with tofu, too. It wasn't the peanut sauce of my dreams but there is always something to be said for saving some joys for the future, isn't there?
