Sequestration Meal #344
Easy food today, but elevated slightly: I had some canned baked beans I made taste less canned by mixing in some seasonings (mustard, vegan Worcestershire, soy sauce, garlic powder, etc.) and onions and bell pepper I'd sautéed in a bit of oil. They were pretty good! I also made a pasta salad out of some leftover Annie's vegan shells in a creamy sauce. (I swear that boxed stuff is just okay when you first make it but the leftovers are the best pasta salad.) I had veggies in here if not so many as per my usual preference but at times we just do what we can.
I used almond milk when I was making the pasta but you definitely don't have to--there are other options--so I've tagged this as a nut-free meal idea.
What's your favorite easy food?
My ultimate favourite easy food is peanut butter on toast. If I'm sick, depressed, exhausted beyond belief, peanut butter toast is there for me. Is that too easy? Who cares. It tastes good and fills me up. Peanut butter is life.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, peanut butter all the way! For me it's more often peanut butter cracker sandwiches (either saltines or "butter" crackers), but that is definitely a great easy food.
