Vanilla Peppermint Soy Steamer (Vegan, Gluten Free, Nut Free)

 

Sometimes, something is just too delightful not to share. I think my pantry utilization quest is leading me to develop more recipes, somehow. So using just what I had, here's a hot, comforting cup of creamy, minty deliciousness.

It's also very, very easy.


Vanilla Peppermint Soy Steamer
Serves: 1

1 peppermint teabag
3/4 cup freshly boiled water
1/2 cup soy milk (vanilla flavored will work super well here)
1/4 teaspoon vanilla

Optional garnishes:
Non-dairy whipped cream
Peppermint stirrer sticks


Pour freshly boiled water over your peppermint teabag and allow to steep for 4-5 minutes.

While your tea is brewing, heat soy milk. I usually use a glass measuring cup and put it in the microwave for 30 seconds, but you can also heat it on the stove.

When the tea finishes brewing, discard the teabag and pour warmed milk and vanilla into the tea.

Top with non-dairy whipped cream and pop in a peppermint stick, if desired. Enjoy!
