Sequestration Meal #585
I had some cooked barley left over from the salad you saw yesterday, so I made something I've been meaning to do for a while: a veggie barley soup with mushrooms and Gardein beefless tips. I had it with some saltines.
The soup was fine; nothing too exciting. I think it might have been better if the barley had been cooked in the broth. But as it used some odds and ends, I was pretty pleased with it.
It is coming into the perfect weather here for barley soups and stews! The American habit of having crackers with soup always intrigues me, we never have crackers with soup here in Australia!
