Monbento Original #15 (Single Tier)
Peanut sauce, tofu cooked in a soy sauce marinade, some broccoli stems and carrots sauteed together, and rice.
As I began to have the energy for cooking but not for making shopping lists or plans, I started scrounging in my kitchen. I could salvage the broccoli stems, if not the broccoli florets, so I constructed this meal around that with what other things I had. And honestly, it turned out pretty well! It's hard to mess up the basic rice or noodles with tofu and veggies with peanut sauce, really.

Oooh, yum; this looks like such a delicious meal! That's great that you were able to use the broccoli stems!
ReplyDeleteI don't like to have stems and florets together for whatever reason, but I do really like the stems on their own--and they last longer!
DeleteTofu and peanut sauce is pretty much one of my favourite combos ever, you just cannot go wrong!
ReplyDeleteI love using broccoli stalks for stuff as well.
