Small Bowl #10

This was a combination of what was in the fridge and what I could be convinced to eat (I wasn't too into food on this day). So I have some homemade farfalle and cheese with peas, some braised cabbage wtih carrots and onions, and a somewhat inexplicable little cup of pickled onions (largely for color).

I had some leftover cheese sauce and a bit of cabbage, and I was not in the mood for any of the things that would have looked more interesting. I  loved this, though, so it all worked out. I am only on the fence about the pickled onions. I threw them in the bowl on the theory that if some people eat kimchi with literally everything, pickled onions seemed likely to go with everything; that isn't fully true. But they weren't bad.

But since this was a pretty small meal (and again, I was eating what I could convince myself to eat), I also had dessert for once. I probably actually make dessert in the bluest of moons, but this was one of those days.

So here we have a pumpkin chocolate chip cupcake with dark chocolate ganache. It was delicious.

Dinner isn't always logical; this may be what they call a "girl dinner," in a way. But if it does the job, it does the job.
