Skater Lunch Box #62

Veggie ham fried rice and cucumber chunks seasoned with rice vinegar and chili-garlic paste, plus sesame seeds to garnish everything.

This week I did my grocery shopping at Target because I needed a bunch of non-food things. My Target isn't a Super Target and has really limited selection for food, so this is kind of an eating-down-the-pantry week. But they are the only store around that is not Whole Foods that sells Sweet Earth things, so I picked up some Sweet Earth Harmless Ham. Alas, they were sold out of veggie bacon, so plans revised a little--but fried rice is almost always an option. I don't ever let myself run out of rice or soy sauce.

  1. We have Target, same logo and everything, but they are so different here compared to the US. They sells chocolates and chips and stuff, but nothing like what the US Target's sell! I feel a bit miffed, because US Target seems to have a lot of awesome vegan food. Oh well, at least I was able to buy some adorable unicorn PJs from there yesterday, even if they don't have vegan ham.

    1. Unicorn pajamas also sound lovely! Not all Targets sell groceries and the ones that do often sell an extremely limited range of things. I try not to buy produce there because it is usually not as fresh or as good. But they do have, within their very limited range, some surprises!

  2. That looks like such a great lunch! I haven't tried too many things by Sweet Earth; I'll have to keep an eye out for the ham!

    1. I really like the Harmless Ham! It costs less than my other go-to ham substitute (Yves), though it looks a bit less like ham.
