Insulated Jar & Sides #44
Improvisational trail mix (pecans, freeze dried strawberries, white chocolate chips), oatmeal with toppings (shredded coconut, dark chocolate chips, raspberry fruit spread), and applesauce.
When you're running out of options, you have to get creative. This isn't the first time I've taken oatmeal to work for lunch, but when I do it I feel pretty odd. I liked this combination, though if I were being a proper food blogger and not one who hasn't been to the grocery store in nearly three weeks I would have more attractive jam or something.
No post tomorrow (lunch is provided at work), but I'm doing much better. See you next week.

Oooh, that trail mix sounds delicious! I could have breakfast foods all day every day, so oatmeal for lunch works :))
ReplyDeleteGlad that you’re doing better, hopefully that continues through the weekend for you.

I know what you mean. Breakfast is great anytime, and dinner is also great for breakfast.
DeleteI'm glad to hear that you are doing better.
ReplyDeleteI keep some microwave oats on hand at work, and used to eat them all the time. One winter I had a dedicated oat o'clock time in the afternoon. I often work until 7, so afternoon oats are a good thing.
Those would sustain your energy for a while, I'd imagine!
DeleteHome made trail mix for the win! I need some of that in my life!! It sounds like you have a great mix. The oatmeal sounds so good, I love sneaking chocolate into mine as well. Have you ever tried baked oatmeal? It tastes like a cookie!
ReplyDeleteI haven't baked my oatmeal, no. How would you do that?
DeleteYour improv trail mix sounds like a great combination!
