ECO Lunchbox Three-in-One #87

An experimental pizza pocket and salad (mixed lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, sliced chickpea cutlet, and creamy dill dressing.

Crescent rolls were on sale, so I tried making a kind of pizza pocket with them. Although I think crescent rolls will make amazing hand pies if I get the right kind of filling in them, the dough is not quite right for pizza. Next time I'm going to try a cheeseburger filling.

I'm still loving chickpea cutlets in my salad, though!

  1. Homemade pizza pockets sound fun! Do you think it would be better with puff pastry? Or pizza dough?
    We don't have crescent rolls here, vegan or otherwise, so I've never tried those.

    1. I think either would probably work better! The crescent rolls are just the wrong flavor--a bit on the sweet side. I've never noticed them to be sweet but when I put them with pizza that flavor really came through.
