What I Ate in a Day #48
I wasn't up for grocery shopping. It was still the freezer-themed focus of my pantry utilization quest. (Does it count as pantry utilization in the freezer? Well, anyway. Using the things I have. Making my own rules here.)
So.
I had a biscuit in the freezer, and some frozen veggie sausage crumbles, so I made sausage gravy and put that on the biscuit. This was a rather thin gravy, but it was good. So much good food looks really gross, though, doesn't it? Let's not worry about that.
Lunch was a mostly-freezer special, with leftover kamut with root veggies and cranberries I'd frozen a few months ago and a few slices of a Field Roast celebration roast I probably bought in October. With that, I steamed some broccoli and carrots to have on the side. This was pretty great, albeit not at all spring like.
Dinner was leftover soup with crackers. I have nothing much to say about that; the leftover soup was delicious and saltines went with it perfectly.
Not pictured, I had my usual supplements (a multivitamin, Vitamin D, turmeric, and algae-based DHA) and herbal tea here and there.
This day was pretty light on fruit, but otherwise I think I did a pretty good job. And I didn't have to shop!
