Laptop Lunches #208
Tabouleh doctored up with extra veggies, slices of fuyu persimmon, falafel balls, cherry tomatoes, yogurt-ranch dip, and mini cranberry scone-type things.
I had never had a fuyu persimmon; now I am sorry I passed them over so many times! They have a pretty wagon wheel inside if you cut them crosswise, and they are super sweet, not the sour, horrible things I have heard about the American persimmon. I peeled mine before I ate it, although some say you can just eat it with the peel on, so long as you don't eat the stem and leaves (although I don't know who would be compelled to eat those spiky things anyway).
