3-Tier Bottle Bento #44

The end of my Asian baby corn salad, white rice, and my Chinese-inspired saucy beans.

This wasn't really what I planned to eat today but I've been sleeping a lot and didn't have time for cooking much. Fortunately, I had the baby corn salad already and there was a can of vegetarian beans in tomato sauce in my pantry. Thus, I succeeded!

Look at me, gluten free two days in a row without even thinking about it.

  1. Your recent posts have been giving me a baby corn craving!
Quick and easy food is a blessing when you aren't up to much. I always have this forever list of recipes I am meant to be making, which is fun a lot of the time but other times I just want to order takeout or make peanut butter toast.
Why am I 'meant' to be making them? I have no idea.

    1. Eat all the baby corn! I know what you mean. I usually end up cooking what I am "meant" to cook but sometimes it takes months for me to get to it.

  2. This meal looks seriously delicious! I know what you mean about not getting to what you have planned to make but getting rest and taking care of your body is most important. You've still been able to feed yourself really delicious meals while getting some much needed rest. I hope that you've been feeling even a little bit better.

  4. It took years and years before i realized just how freaking *critical* sleep is- so if meals are more simple because you needed more sleeping then so be it! Sounds like a tasty combo to me, i’ve been very into rice with butter and soy sauce lately. Literally just a bowl of it! Haha, comfort food for me = Hot Carbs so it works.

    1. In the more extreme times of childhood poverty, I ate a bowl of white rice with butter, cinnamon, and sugar for breakfast most mornings. Hot carbs are pretty great.
