Sequestration Meal #80

I made this in a hazy fog, having one of those numb days I was stumbling through things emotionally taxed beyond capacity. I went into the kitchen and just started chopping vegetables, deciding moment by moment what it was going to be. So it was:

Steamed fresh green beans with some margarine and seasoning salt for flavor
A Wegmans Don't Be Chicken patty
Veggie rice pilaf (of a sort)

I'm not sure this really counts as a pilaf, based on how it turned out. But essentially I cooked onions, peppers, carrots, and garlic in olive oil, then stirred in 1/2 cup of rice, then added a handful of quartered grape tomatoes, 1 cup of veggie broth made from Better than Bouillon, and a bit of salt. Once the liquid was absorbed I called it good enough. And indeed, somehow, it was. Not bad for cooking in a numb fog. I was glad I had the Don't Be Chicken patty; otherwise I don't know how this would have gone. I probably would have tossed a can of beans into the rice, though. That sounds like me.
