Sequestration Meal #51

I feel like so many of my posts are starting with complaining of low energy, but, well, that's life. So.

I had some instant stir fry noodles I'd bought from H-Mart a long while ago, and figured I could stir fry some veggies to go with them. I think I burned the carrots a bit but otherwise this turned out pretty well. I topped the whole shebang with some sesame seeds and it was a bit like takeout. It was lower in protein than it should have been, probably, but there are days I have to take what I can get, and make up for it with a peanut butter smoothie later in the day. I guess I'm adjusting to having almost no access to my usual frozen dinner crutch for when I'm feeling low energy (and maybe I'm just reserving my frozen dinners out of a fear of a thing that will never come). Dinner on this day was a banana-blueberry-almond butter smoothie with soy milk, as it happens, fortified with my usual protein-boosting mix of hemp seeds, chia seeds, and flax seeds. And I lived to cook another day.

  1. Peanut butter is the ultimate back up food. Protein, filling, tasty, in a smoothie, on toast, off a spoon.

    1. Absolutely! And I will probably be able to order it for delivery, too.
