Sequestration Meal #421

I was in the mood for something sort of nostalgic, so I had some fishless filets with homemade tartar sauce, a kind of mock Rice-a-Roni I made by veganizing this recipe, and steamed some broccoli and baby carrots (I sliced the bigger baby carrots in half lengthwise to ensure even cooking).

Every so often, I think I just need a flavor memory, and until someone sells vegan fish sticks in the U.S. (I'm envious of England's fishless fingers!), Gardein "f'sh" it is! This was a comforting meal that tasted of childhood.

Cooking rice and orzo together, aside from being reminiscent of the popular "San Francisco treat," was also a good solution to my indecisiveness about whether I wanted rice or pasta. Why not both?
